ASSISTANT SITE SUPERVISOR | Cape Town

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in the TES environment required.

  • Clear Criminal Record

  • Code EB drivers license with PDP

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ATTENDANCE:
  • Daily attendance register for all workers at Southey Harbour

  • Ensure that contracted headcount is maintained and report such to client

  • Ensure that all workers are loaded onto PRP system

  • Ensure that you are on site at least 20 minutes before each shift change to ensure the relevant breathalyser test are done

  • Ensure that the relevant discipline is maintained by all CSGR workers and issue the relevant warning notices when required.

LEAVE:
  • Employees absent without application for leave – Issue warning

  • Employees absent due to illness obtain sick note and submit to client

    1. Controlling/planning all leave, making sure the client receive forms when employee on leave
    2. Submit Sick leave to client. Check the attendance and see if there is any pattern for employees going on sick leave too many times.

PPE:

  • When on site ensure that staff are wearing the correct PPE, should staff require PPE please communicate such to Southey
WAGE QUERIES / OTHER EMPLOYEE QUERIES:
  • Check wages and assist with queries, attendance and any other queries employees may have

  • Ensure that payslips are distributed to workers during lunch times/after work

CONTRACT DOCUMENTATION:

  • ID Copy certified

  • Bank Statements

  • New Engagement form

  • Tax Number

  • CSGR Contract – Project based contract needs to be completed

  • Issue employee number to each employee and communicate the employee number to the client in order that information can be loaded onto PRP correctly

CLIENT QUERIES:

  • Assist with client queries

MEETING WITH CLIENT AND EMPLOYEES:

  • Check regularly with client and Employees if there are any problems or issues.

INJURY ON DUTY:

  • Ensure that the correct paperwork is completed

  • Ensure that transport is arranged for the worker to medical facility

  • Ensure that the relevant authorisation code is obtained

  • Ensure that the Claim forms are sent to head office

  • Ensure that client receives copies of all the documentation regarding every incident

OTHER:

  • Controlling and placement arrangements for workers, when client need extra employees or replacement for employees on leave as well as placement of new employees.
  • You are responsible for your own paper filing once electronic filing has been completed, such filing to be kept up to date on a weekly basis
  • Ensure that recruiting is done on a regular basis in order to maintain a pool of workers for the client
  • Ensure to assist with all documentation that is required for placement on our employees with the client as well as any transport that might be required of the employees
  • Assist other CSGR Site supervisors if and when required
  • Any reasonable work related request received from Manager.
