Looking for a Digital Twin Expert to work at our client, full time at the office in Cape Town CBD on a contract basis.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Development and Deployment:
– Design, develop, and implement digital twin models for physical systems, assets, or processes.
– Integrate real-time data from IoT sensors, edge devices, and other systems into digital twin environments. - Simulation and Optimization:
– Conduct simulations to analyze system performance, predict outcomes, and optimize processes.
– Develop predictive and prescriptive models using AI/ML techniques. - Data Integration and Management:
– Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish data pipelines.
– Ensure seamless integration of data from various sources like SCADA, IoT platforms, and ERP systems. - Visualization and User Experience:
– Build intuitive dashboards and 3D/AR/VR interfaces to visualize digital twin interactions.
– Ensure user-friendly visualization of insights for stakeholders. - Collaboration and Consulting:
– Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to align digital twin solutions with business objectives.
– Serve as a consultant for internal teams and clients, explaining the value and capabilities of digital twins. - Testing and Validation:
– Validate digital twin models against physical counterparts to ensure accuracy and reliability.
– Conduct stress-testing and performance evaluations of digital twin systems. - Research and Development:
– Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and frameworks in digital twin development.
– Lead R&D initiatives to improve the fidelity and functionality of digital twin models. - Governance and Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance standards in digital twin implementations.
– Document processes and create guidelines for digital twin adoption across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Skills:
– Strong knowledge of digital twin platforms (e.g., Siemens MindSphere, Azure Digital Twins, PTC ThingWorx, GE Predix).
– Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C#.
– Experience with IoT devices, edge computing, and real-time data integration.
– Familiarity with 3D modeling and simulation tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, MATLAB, or Simulink).
– Knowledge of data analytics, AI/ML algorithms, and predictive modeling.
– Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services. - Soft Skills:
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
– Ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications in digital twin technologies, IoT, or cloud platforms are a plus.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying digital twin systems for real-world applications.
