We are looking for a Power Apps Developer/Engineer to work at our client, full time at the office in Cape Town CBD on a contract basis.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Application Development:
– Design, develop, and deploy custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
– Build interactive, user-friendly interfaces tailored to business needs. - Automation & Workflow Management:
– Create automated workflows using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow).
– Integrate Power Apps with other Microsoft services (SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365) and third-party platforms. - Data Management:
– Develop and maintain Common Data Service (CDS) data models or use connectors for integration with external databases (SQL Server, Azure, etc.).
– Ensure data security, access controls, and governance policies are implemented. - Power BI Integration:
– Collaborate with teams to build visualizations and reports in Power BI for actionable insights. - Technical Support:
– Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
– Provide technical support and guidance to end-users. - Documentation:
– Prepare comprehensive technical and functional documentation.
– Develop user manuals and deliver training sessions for non-technical users.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
– Experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
– Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Dataverse, etc.).
– Familiarity with scripting languages like JavaScript or Power FX.
– Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and integrating external data sources. - Soft Skills:
– Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
– Effective communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate) is a plus.
- Experience in developing applications for SharePoint or Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
